“MY BUSINESS IT CLASS”

This will be the last post that I am going to do and I have decide to make a summary of all the things that I’ve learned from my business it class, I want to share my struggling moments and those I find easy. Well, it class is really an agonize for me because I can’t stand long hours of facing the computer screen because it really hurt my eyes but I don’t have a choice, yet it still worth it because I find our lesson very interesting because we are living in a world of new technology and knowing the steps on how to operate and used them gives you an advantage.

We have learned how to use database in the first lesson we have discussed. At first, I find it very difficult but it’ll just take time before you find it easy, you just have to analyze the information and data that you are going to store. Database is really a great help because it would help you manage your time and business accordingly, through database you don’t have to scan your files one-by-one because database put them all together in a single data where you can easily access them and base also had a lot of features that is really essential in business.

The next lesson we took up which I find very interesting is the affiliate marketing- it is an online business where every one could earn even students. This discussion of affiliate marketing help us analyze and understand that internet is not just for research and social networking but it also give and offer a lot of opportunity to people. Affiliate marketing lesson gives me an idea on how to earn while studying. I also have learned the different sites that could help me if ever I am going to pursue this kind of business; it helps me assess my business skills. Although it is not that easy but still it is worth it of the time and money. Through this lesson I am now ready to explore the world outside the walls of our classroom.

As merchant and affiliates we should address the concerns of our visitors and answer their questions promptly and as early as possible and in return we would probably be rewarded with sales and conversion rates much higher than our competitors whose focus is on their gain.  We can increase our conversion rates by building trust in our sites.

Third is, we should invite feedbacks, we should collect testimonials from our previous customer because this is an excellent way to build trust in our product and in our site. Fourth is we should only promote quality products, as a seller of course we wouldn’t want complaints, refunds and charge backs because it will put our reputation at stake and probably would lower our revenue. Fifth is keep your design simple, it’s not bad to put designs and graphics to your site but don’t make it too fancy to make it look like hilarious, a simple one will do. Sixth is you should show respect, as a seller you should respect your visitors time and space, avoid broken links, pop-ups, music and noise that would irritate your visitors. Make sure your site is free of errors and other annoyances. Seventh is be available, you should make sure that it is easy for your visitors to get in touch with you. And you should make a visible contact link on every page to let your visitors know that you are readily available. Eight is exposing yourself, of course it is more likely to build trust if you expose yourself and stay in touch with your visitors by sending them useful information through your mailing list. Ninth is go beyond your expectations, if your receive emails from your merchant don’t ignore those emails and relay the message promptly because it would make you professional to both customer and partner. And the last is give something away, one of the sellers technique in selling is giving freebies to their customer to promote their product and to show that they are important.
